2021 Rosé “Hic Svnt Dracones”

Ancient cartographers marked the far reaches beyond human exploration with the notation hic svnt dracones ("here be dragons"), imagining mysterious worlds populated by marvelous and terrible beasts of land and sea. Firmly rooted in the 19th century, the oldest Cinsaut on the known Globe from Bechthold Vineyard (1886) and Mourvèdre from Little Big Block Vineyard (1895) are no less ancient and mythic, and here combine (33% and 67% respectively) to produce an epic rosé which recalls calmer, more well-charted waters.
